Professional basketball leagues join in Mexico, El Siglo de Torreón

In a great step for Mexican basketball, days ago the collaboration agreement was signed between the three most important professional basketball leagues in our country: Chihuahua State Basketball League (LBE), the National Professional Basketball League (LNBP) and the Pacific Coast Basketball Circuit (Cibacopa).

This agreement has as its main objective, the union of the professional sector, so representatives of the three circuits had several meetings to take the first step in this historic alliance in Mexican sports. In principle, the dates for each of the leagues were established: the LBE will start at the end of February with the end of May 16, CIBACOPA will start at the end of the same month or the beginning of June and finally the LNBP would have activity with a season of 2 to 3 months during the final stretch of the year – calendar.

On the other hand, the Chihuahua State Basketball League granted the official franchise title to the owners of the Industriales de La Laguna team, for which, according to the statutes, they are already recognized as partners of the circuit itself. Heading into the next 2021 season of the LBE, one of the surprises will be the return of the Indios de Ciudad Juárez, a place with a long tradition in the Ráfaga Sports of our country at a professional level. Similarly, the possibility that the new campaign, scheduled to begin in March, be played in a single venue, as a “bubble”, is handled, as was handled the previous season in the NBA.
