Luka Jovic Moncer again at Eintracht Frankfurt, this is Zidane’s reaction

Madrid

Luka Jovic immediately showed off on his return to Eintracht Frankfurt, after being loaned by Real Madrid. This is the reaction of coach Zinedine Zidane.

Jovic has struggled to shine at Real Madrid, since being bought from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2019. In his first year, the Serbian player struggled due to injury, plus he made several disciplines. He only played 27 times and scored two goals.

And in his second season, Jovic again struggled to take the position of Madrid’s main striker under the direction of Zinedine Zidane. He only played 5 times and didn’t score a goal until half the season. That is what made him loaned again to Frankfurt until the end of the season.

And Jovic’s debut return to Frankfurt seems to have gone smoothly. When facing Schalke 04 at Commerzbank-Arena, Sunday (17/1/2021) local time, the former Benfica immediately bought up two goals.

Jovic appeared from the bench in the second half. After the first half ended 1-1, in which Andre Silva’s goal was replied to by Matt Hope, the 23-year-old entered the second half, and was able to buy up two goals in the 72nd minute and 90 + 1. Frankfurt won 3-1.

Responding to Jovic’s brilliant performance at his old club, Zidane raised his voice. According to him, it was not one of the coaches, where the Frenchman emphasized that playing for Madrid is indeed difficult.

“Madrid is difficult, I experienced it as a player, and what Luka has done is go and play,” he said, as reported by Marca.

“I think it’s a good choice to buy Luka, and I’m happy. I hope he does the same in Madrid, but inside and outside the club it’s different.”

“He has a future, and can show it in Madrid, the same for everyone. Here there is always a very strong competition, but the coach is not to blame,” said Zidane.
