Joe Cole Reveals The Real Chelsea Disease

Jakarta

Frank Lampard’s dismissal left a bad impression on fellow former Chelsea player Joe Cole. Cole thinks Lampard is good enough as a manager.

Frank Lampard was sacked by Chelsea from the manager’s chair on January 25. His position was replaced by former Paris Saint-Germain coach, Thomas Tuchel.

By lifting Tuchel, Chelsea means that they have appointed their 13th manager in the Roman Abramovich era which began in 2003. The decision to fire Lampard for former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole was considered too harsh.

Cole felt Lampard’s performance was not very bad and just needed time to develop further. In fact, Lampard managed to bring the Blues to finish in the top four in the first year amid a transfer ban.

Chelsea itself has always been known as an impatient club in the Abramovich era. But Joe Cole has another view: the players get involved a lot in managerial matters.

“They (directors) will think that this is not a problem because Chelsea have won everything over the last 20 years, more than anyone else. But Chelsea’s problem is always because the players at the club have too much opinion on what is going on. They have a direct route to people – people on top, “he told JOE quoted Metro.

“This has been happening for a long time. So the problem at Chelsea, in my opinion, is that it needs to change if there is to be continuity. Because Frank’s dismissal was the worst of all the dismissals.”

“Once again, people will accuse me that he is my partner and I have an emotional bond, that’s only natural. But when I think logically, it needs to stop. If Tuchel is to be successful, it must stop,” added Joe Cole. .
