English rugby star Christian Wade went to the NFL

It’s been almost two years since the Briton joined America, but he hasn’t lost his smile. On social media, with « Let’s gooo ! », Christian Wade, 29, is billed as the first Buffalo Bills supporter. This Saturday, his franchise faces the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL play-offs, yet another reason to remind him why he left to live his dream. Shunned by the English coaches, Wade left the Wasps in 2018 to join the International Player Pathway (IPP), a program allowing the best talents in rugby to join the NFL. “He has always been open-minded, on sports as well as on music”, explained his father. After athletics, the drums – his brother and agent is a musician – and therefore in rugby, becoming one of the references to his position as a winger, Christian Wade started a learning process again, “humbly” he said, to become running back (it is the player who often carries the ball, in attack).
