Born on March 29, 1976 in Ndjamena, Me Abakar Djermah Aumi, has been able to marvelously combine studies and sport. Professional judoka, passionate about sports management, his eloquent career is an assurance of dynamism to bring the top African Judo.
In 1997, he obtained his series D baccalaureate and a few years later a master’s degree in management and finance, Abakar Djermah Aumi is a sport icon and African of all time.
A professional career filled with experience, Me Abakar Djermah Aumi holds several positions of high responsibility in the world of sport. Since 2018, he has been vice-president of the finance commission of ANOCA (Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa).
From 2016 to days Chief Sports Director of the African Judo Union. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Judo For Peace commission of the International Judo Federation. Currently president of the Chadian Judo Federation, Me Abakar Djermah Aumi has a fighting faith to raise African Judo to the world level.
Holder of a 5th Dan black belt, Me Abakar Djermah Aumi has a hidden talent that he can put at the service of Africans. Bold, his leadership and his charisma in sports management are no longer to be demonstrated because he was head of Chad’s sports delegation to the CEMAC Cup where the country won its very first title.
Me Abakar Djermah Aumi has participated nine (9) times in the World Judo Championship, six (6) times at the Congress of the International Judo Federation, fourteen (14) times in the African Judo Championship, three (3) times at the Elective Congress of the African Judo Union, eight (8) times at the General Assembly of the African Judo Union and obtained a historic qualification at the London Olympics in 2012.
Relentlessly Me Abakar Djermah Aumi, works to materialize his vision which is that of a dream Judo for the continent and the future generation. To achieve this, culture through Judo will be its policy and the moral code of Judo its line of conduct.
However, Me Abakar Djermah Aumi will strive to implement the goals he has set for himself.
