Deshaun Watson reportedly played his last game for the Texans

Some Houston Texans employees are confident quarterback Deshaun Watson will never wear their team uniform again.

That’s what ESPN learned on Sunday.

In recent weeks, a multitude of rumors have surfaced concerning the 25-year-old pivot.

Most persistent is that he is bitterly disappointed that the organization did not consult him before hiring a new CEO. The Texans announced the hiring of Nick Caserio less than two weeks ago and are still looking for a new head coach.

It looks like Watson would like Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to be the pick of the team that drafted him in the first round (12th overall) of the 2017 auction.

The Houston organization reportedly ignored his request until recently.

Texans owner Cal McNair told the Houston Chronicle daily on Friday that he was in touch with his quarterback via text message and that he was taking responsibility for the “continuing turmoil” surrounding his team.

Watson has just had his best career NFL campaign. In 16 games, he completed 70.2% of his attempted passes for 4,823 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also ran with the ball in hand 90 times for 444 yards and three majors. His club, however, ended the year with a poor 4-12 record.

In 2020, the Clemson University product entered the first year of a five-year contract that is set to earn him $ 156 million. This agreement is also accompanied by a full non-trade clause, which means that it will have a say if the Texans wish to exchange it.
