Continental rubbing of Colombian teams to improve finances

DIM: for the rescue of Paisa talent

Felipe Trujillo assures that as a serious club, the DIM protects the training process. “This (pandemic) will have to happen, the work must continue to continue making a difference.” The People’s Team started 2020 with 7 categories, made up of 142 athletes aged 12 to 20 years. Among them, an elite group of 28 players who had stayed at the clubhouse. With effort and after the cancellation of the tournaments in March, they continued work virtually until the end of the year. For 2021 they planned to resume work on January 12, but the situation made them change their plans and they are waiting for announcements from the League and the Federation, organizers of the championships. With the arrival of coach Hernán Darío Gómez to the professional team, the expert Óscar Pérez, who will be close to Bolillo, was appointed as director of the Basic Forces. “That will strengthen the structure and will be a direct channel with the main campus,” says Trujillo, adding that, without ignoring talents from other regions, the priority will be to attract young people from Antioquia.

envigado promotes more talents

The hiring of Alexandre Guimaraes will not change the project of minor divisions in Nacional, since there is a defined institutional methodological model that this year will have additions in search of improvements. And thanks to the economic lung of the club, and despite the pandemic, the groups will not be affected, including the female branch, coaches and assistant personnel in 10 male categories (235 players) and 6 in women (160). According to the sports director Francisco Nájera, between February and March they hope to resume competitions in the local League and Federation competitions, the latter for under-20 and under-17. “The designed plan takes into account the social structures, coordination, neurosychology, nutrition, models of play and athletic preparation to complement the training process. Here only people who are ready are promoted, we are not going to expose in high competition those who have not completed the stages. ” Nájera adds that to the 13 homegrown players who were with the main group in 2020, this year they will add others but always aiming for a balanced payroll according to the demands of the team.

Nacional improves its model

In Envigado, says the coordinator of the minors, Alejandro Ramírez, the health and lives of the athletes come first and that is why they have waited patiently to resume activities. “When the scenarios are enabled we will open all divisions, we have to be responsible and consistent with the thinking of our president Ramiro Ruiz.”

Next week they hope to start work with the sub-20s, the category that supplies the professional staff, and the others will be gradually. “We maintain the training mission,” says Ramírez, noting that in addition to the young people who were promoted in 2020, nine were added on Tuesday to be analyzed by the coaching staff led by the Spanish José Arastey. They are Santiago Asprilla, Duván Mesa, Julián Palacio, Carlos Alberto Ordóñez, Déiler Córdoba (John’s brother who plays in Germany), Josué Vega, Carlos Gutiérrez (son of the former professional of the same name) and Andrés Aranzazu. The orange team has an initiation school for athletes between 2 and 13 years old, which would open at the end of January, and the basic forces with talents between 9 and 20.

Águilas bets on the sub-20

Of almost a hundred footballers who made up the bases of Águilas Doradas at the end of 2019, currently only 30 remain who are part of the sub-20 and First A departmental category. The confinement and health crisis due to covid-19 has young people in the other categories waiting, including children from the training school that is free. And just as it happens in Medellín, in eastern Antioquia there is also no certainty when normality will arrive. Fernando Montoya, coach and manager of the group of amateur players, points out that the pandemic hit them hard. “When they opened the fields in Rionegro we did not want to risk the health of the boys and we maintained the isolation. We also did not sign up for the tournaments organized by the League in sub-regions. The players spent the whole year training in their homes from Monday to Saturday, something complicated and their effort is appreciated ”.

In the midst of this uncertainty that still persists, the club celebrated the appearance of figures in the professional championship, including the central defender Sebastián Rodríguez who made his debut against Leones. Kevin Castaño, Tomás Salazar and Pablo Díaz (photo) also voiced their youth force in the golden club.
