Bayern Munich has achieved a logical victory against tail team Mainz. The visitors seemed to be on their way to a stunt of stunt in the Allianz Arena, but in the second half Bayern woke up brusquely from its hibernation and scored 5 more times.
No long winter break this year in the Bundesliga, but Bayern Munich still seemed to be hibernating in the 1st half against Mainz. After all, the number 17 in the stand went into the dressing room with 0-2 after goals from Burkardt and Hack.
But after the break, Bayern put things in order. Kimmich quickly scored the tying goal and Sané signed for the equalizer before the hour with a very good imitation of Arjen Robben: cutting in from the right and then the ball with the left inner coats.
For fifteen minutes Mainz could still cling to a tip, but then the spring finally broke at the visitors. With a goal from Süle and two hits from the inevitable Lewandowski – one from the dot – it was still a big victory for Bayern, which puts Leipzig on 2 points again.
