Alan Bar reunites with Osasuna, the club with which he made his debut in Primera

Forty years after the only and first time, theOlot will play again tomorrow against a Primera rival. TheOsasuna will visit the Municipal in match of the second round qualifier in a match considered by everyone in La Garrotxa as one regal de Reis. It will be the first time that many of the members of the Olot squad will face a rival of the highest category with all the excitement that this entails. To Alan Baró, will not be the first time he plays against a Primera team. In fact, he has played three times, also in the Cup, against Real Madrid and another with Villarreal, among others, when he defended the shirts of Alicante and Ponferradina. However, the duel against Osasuna will be “just as special as the first time” for the defense of Darnius. Its “intense” past in Pamplona it is a compelling reason for it to be so. Alan Baró’s time at Osasuna was short – only one season at the subsidiary, the 2009-10– but full of great memories and unforgettable moments. The highlight, for sure, is the First debut for Chapín against Xerez. It was only a few minutes, almost seconds, already in the addition of the match and to ensure the victory (1-2), but that moment will never be erased from his retina.

“All I thought about was going out on the field and doing the best I could because I had a great responsibility to ensure victory. The match had to end as it was. Once the referee whistled the end, already in the locker room, I heard that yes, he had made his debut in Primera. I received a lot of calls and congratulatory messages and I realized that I had really taken a step forward in my career, ”he explains. Alan confesses that being in first team dynamics made him feel “special” and considers his debut “one reward for the effort of previous seasons». For Darniuenc, training with Monreal, Pandiani, Azpilicueta and Juanfran was “a luxury”.

Alan was then 24 years old and had already played for Peralada, Figueres and Alicante, with whom he made his debut in Second A. In the summer of 2009, Osasuna offered him the chance to play in the Second Division B and train with the first team under the orders of José Antonio Camacho. “Just arriving I went to Rome to do the preseason with the big ones. I didn’t expect it. He also trained very often with them and every Thursday he took part in the pre-match match “, he explains. The Alt-Empordà had a cordial relationship with Camacho. “He is a person with character and very motivating. He always treated me very well and never made me feel less than anyone. Alan matched in the branch with men like Roberto Torres or Andrés Fernánez and in the first team with people of the level of Azpilicueta, Monreal or Pandiani, among others. “I just have good words for everyone. The first team and the subsidiary had a very close relationship. We shared locker room, physios and we knew each other from being around the club all day. All the first team players were 10 and very close.

Tomorrow will be a very special date for both the club and Alan. “The only downside is that it can’t be our hobby.”
