Club Esportiu Banyoles and Unió Esportiva Figueres open the new year with a goalless draw (0-0) at the Municipal Miquel Coromina. The match had been postponed last December by several covid-19 positives in the Banyoles squad. In this way, the white-and-blues add their fourth point in the competition (the first at home), after the victory at the Grama field, and their first draw. Figueres, meanwhile, are in the fifth game in a row without losing and remain in the middle of the standings.
Both sets had options to take all three points. The first half was dominated by Figueres, who could have advanced with actions from Maureta and Marc Bech. In the second half, Banyoles made substitutions and had their chances at the feet of Sergi Ferrussola and Jordi Turon. Both Martí Bartrina and Andrés intervened with stops of merit.
Figueres came out focused and with the will to go for the three points. He dominated the game from the first half and enjoyed opportunities to open the can.
