The reason why you need to know the correct backhand grip method is to hit the backhand a little harder, but also to prevent injury. The most common occurrence of hitting the backhand is an elbow injury. Usually hobbyists prefer forehand. The forehand is stronger than the backhand and it is easier to hit. That is why many hobbyists have difficulty hitting the backhand while hitting the forehand, and even the forehand grip method is often used to make a backhand stroke. If you describe the backhand stroke easily, you can hit it like a tennis ball. However, in this case, the course to send the shuttlecock is limited, and the intensity and speed of the shuttlecock are greatly reduced. Therefore, if the shuttlecock comes to the backhand (left from the center of the body), it is desirable to hold the correct backhand grip and hit it.

① The thumb completely supports the wide side of the grip.

② It is better to hold the index finger slightly lower than the thumb.

③ Do not rotate the racket from the forehand and hold it, but only raise the thumb, push the thumb and pull the index finger.

④ Make the finger bones of the back of the hand slightly obliquely facing diagonally.

(It is not good to be too aligned with the racket frame)

① In cross-section, a lot of power is put into the backhand, but it is difficult to quickly switch the forehand grip.

② There may be a case of pushing with grip, and the shuttlecock speed may drop.

③ You can send it well in a straight line, but it is difficult to use instant diagonal angles or send various angles.

TIP

At first, the forehand backhand conversion will be a lot slow and difficult. Until you get used to your hands, you have to practice repeatedly raising and lowering your thumb while playing with the racket repeatedly. There is no movement that works well in a short period of time, so it is the only way to get used to it by constantly practicing with time.
