“Vincent Kompany changes course completely, Anderlecht is shocked” | Football24

Vincent Kompany is a young trainer and he has yet to find his way. This is also evident from the approach of ‘Vince the Prince’. While Kompany was a real football romance last season, he is no longer that at all.

Kompany tried to apply Pep Guardiola’s philosophy to Anderlecht, but that turned out not to be such a tight plan. And so the RSCA trainer decided to completely change course. That writes Sports / Football magazine.

Having the ball as often as possible and wingbacks who always have to crawl into the build-up, these are just a few things and principles that Kompany has thrown overboard. They did make way for other accents.

Klopp

For example, Kompany now opts more for an approach such as Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool. He lets Anderlecht put high and aggressive pressure to put the opponent in trouble. At Anderlecht they were initially shocked, but they do support this philosophy.

Zo opteert Kompany nu meer voor een aanpak zoals Jürgen Klopp bij Liverpool. Hij laat Anderlecht hoog en agressief druk zetten om de tegenstander in moeilijkheden te brengen. Bij Anderlecht schrokken ze aanvankelijk, maar staan ze wel achter deze filosofie.
