Verstappen reigns at the Abu Dhabi final party and Sainz bids farewell to six of McLaren

The Dutch pilot Max Verstappen (Red Bull) has won this Sunday the last victory of the season in the Formula 1 World Championship, after winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ahead of the two Mercedes, while the Spanish Carlos Sainz, in his McLaren farewell before leaving for Ferrari, has maintained his starting position and finished sixth.

In the decline of Yas Marina, and also of the championship, ‘Mad Max’ has been intractable in a boring race, without great advances or changes and in which the ‘silver arrows’ have shown an unknown face, without putting in fixes on the Dutchman’s Red Bull in no time.

The Finn Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) did not move from his starting place and finished second, just ahead of his teammate and seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton; the Briton was returning to the World Cup after overcoming his coronavirus convalescence, but has been almost as extinct as the Sakhir, lacking in aggression and conformist.
