Star sports couple Lindsey Vonn and PK Subban announced their breakup after two and a half years.
The most successful skier in World Cup history and the NHL hockey player have been together since the summer of 2018 and got engaged last August. However, the wedding of the Olympic winners did not take place.
Thirty-six-year-old Vonn and five-year-younger Subban posted information about the breakup on their social networks, with only words of admiration for each other. “PK and we had incredible moments. He is a nice, good person, to whom I have great respect,” said the American Vonn.
“Lindsey is one of the nicest and most caring people I know. I will forever remember the time we spent together and the many happy moments we had together,” added Canadian defender Subban, who plays for New Jersey.
Vonnová and Subban, who in the past had widely documented their life together on social networks, did not specify the reason for the break-up and asked for privacy to be respected.
Vonn ended her stellar skiing career in February 2019. She won one Olympic gold and two world titles, won the overall World Cup four times and won a record 82 races among women.

The star skier has a four-year marriage to former national teammate Thomas Vonn and also a relationship with the famous golfer Tiger Woods.
Subban was named the best defender of the NHL in 2013 and a year later won gold with Canada at the Olympic Games in Sochi. In the elite competition, he played over 800 games for Montreal, Nashville and New Jersey, including the playoffs.
