The Vegas del Genil Table Tennis Club achieves ten medals in the Andalusian Championship

Among the achievements of the Vegueo team in the championship, which concludes today in Andjar (Jan), are the Andalusian Champions by Youth, Children and Alevn Team

The Vegas del Genil Table Tennis Club, one of the most important in the province of Granada, has obtained a total of ten medals in the Andalusian Championship, which ended today in Andújar (Jaén).

In total, the Vegas club has obtained the following medals: Andalusian Team Champions in the Youth, Children’s and Youth categories; third place in Youth and Child Teams; runners-up in Andalusia for Men’s teams; Andalusian runners-up for Women’s teams; Runner-up in Andalusia for Andrea Pérez;
Third classified Senior of Andalusia for Ángela García and third classified Senior of Andalusia for Francisco Ramírez.
The mayor of Vegueño, Leandro Martín, and the Councilor for Sports, Rafael Márquez, have traveled to Andújar to be next to the Vegueño team, and congratulated the president of the club, David Barreno, “for the essential work they carry out in promoting of this sport in our municipality, and because they are one of our flagships in sports matters, which year after year reaps successes and carries the name of our municipality to the top ”, in the words of the councilor.

The CTM Vegas del Genil is now over 20 years old, “which is a record for a team that has given us a lot of satisfaction in this period of time,” said the mayor.

In addition, the Vegueño City Council will soon renew the Agreement it maintains with the Vegas del Genil Table Tennis Club, increasing the amount allocated to it. The Councilor for Sports recalls that in this legislature the facilities of this club have been considerably improved, with the total assembly of the floor, in addition to having built a warehouse, and the image of the Club’s uniform has also been renewed.
