The teams that have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League are complete, Germany and Spain send 4 representatives

A total of 16 teams have confirmed themselves to qualify for the group stage of this season’s Champions League, after the final or sixth matchday was completed in the middle of this week.

Real Madrid survived the pinhole, following a 2-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach. Karim Benzema scored two El Real winning goals.

Gladbach was fortunate to accompany Madrid to qualify for the last 16, after Inter drew with Shaktar Donetsk.

Another team from the city of Madrid, Atletico, also successfully advanced to the next round. Diego Simeone’s troops won 2-0 from host RB Salzburg, this result at the same time made Atletico qualify as group runners-up alongside Bayern Munich.

Semifinlais in the 2018-19 season Ajax failed to advance to the round of 16, after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Atalanta.

The Italian representative also has the right to qualify along with group winners Liverpool. In the last two seasons Atalanta has successfully appeared in the knock-out phase of this event.

The four Spanish and German teams each successfully progressed to the knockout stages. Meanwhile, England and Italy have only three representatives each.

The following is a list of the teams that have qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League:

Group A: Bayern Munchen, Atletico Madrid
Grup B: Real Madrid, Borussia Monchengladbach
Group C: Manchester City, Porto
Group D: Liverpool, Atalanta
Group E: Chelsea, Sevilla
Group F: Borussia Dortmund, Lazio
Group G: Juventus, Barcelona
Group H: Paris Saint Germain, RB Leipzig

The draw for the round of 16 will be held on 14 December 2020. And the first leg of this round will be played on 16,17,23 and 24 February 2021.

Then the second leg will be held on 9,10,16 and 17 March 2021.
