The men’s tennis calendar for 2021

The ATP confirmed on Tuesday, December 29, the calendar for week 8 to 13. The rest of the tennis year is scheduled, pending the rescheduling of the ATP 500 in Rio de Janeiro and el Masters 1000 de Indian Wells.

April will have the second Masters 1000 of 2021: Monte-Carlo will be played from 11 to 18, at the beginning of the brick dust season. The only ATP 500 that will be played that month will be the following week: the Count of Godó.

May will have the Masters 1000 in Madrid (from 2 to 9) and Rome (from 9 to 16). Roland Garros It will return to its classic date: it will be from May 23 to June 6, three days after Rafael Nadal’s 35th birthday.

June will have one of the most important moments of the season: it will be the return of WImbledon after 2020 cancellation. English Open will be played from 6/28 to 7/11. As a preview, several ATP 250 and the ATP 500 of Queen’s and Halle will be played (both from June 14 to 20).

From 12 to 18 July the ATP 500 in Hamburg will be played and then another of the highlights of the year: the Tokyo Olympics, which will take place from 24 to 30.

August has a tight schedule although Indian Wells could join there: ATP 500 from Washington (from 2 to 8), Masters 1000 from Toronto (from 9 to 15), Cincinnati (from 15 to 22) and ATP 250 from Winston- Salem (22-28). On August 28, the US Open, which will end on September 12.

Another of the tournaments that will see activity again in 2021 is the Laver Cup: will be played in Boston between September 24 and 26.

In October, four ATP 500s will be played: Beijing and Tokyo, both from 4 to 10; Vienna and Basel, both from the 25th to the 31st. In the middle, from the 10th to the 17th, the Shanghai Masters 1000 will be played.

The last Masters 1000 of the year will be the first week of November in Paris. Then the Next Gen ATP Finals (from 9 to 13) in Milan and the ATP Finals (from 14 to 21) in Turin.
