The moment of delivery of panettone and pandoro to the Emporium of Solidarity

One hundred panettone and pandoro were donated by Cestistica Pescia to the Emporium of Solidarity, which is located in via Amendola and offers food assistance to those in need. The councilors Fiorella Grossi and Fabio Bellandi also participated in the delivery by the president Remo Ulivieri, accompanied by other leaders of the association. “Given the situation that sports clubs are experiencing – say Grossi and Bellandi – this donation takes on an even more significant value and for this gesture, which shows great solidarity and attention to those who live difficult times, we thank the basketball club and all its members “.

The Emporium of Solidarity was born in Pescia from the union of the Italian Red Cross, Public Assistance, Diocesan Caritas and the Municipality. For many years, the three voluntary organizations and the administration, in collaboration with the social services, have been working to combat food poverty through the distribution of food packages to families in difficulty.

“The general store – explains the Municipality – represents an evolution of this commitment to support families, allowing them the free supply of basic necessities, through a space organized like a real supermarket”.
