The Italian international Daniele de Rossi and the Dutchman Rafael van der Vaart were in the hands of the European Qualifiers on Monday evening in Zurich.

They sent the Czech national team to Group E in the company of a leader, the highly favored Belgium, and Wales drawn from the second performance basket. This made it clear that the group would only have five members, as the Belgians will play in the Final Four of the League of Nations next year, and therefore need a free qualifying date in October.

Wales is an acceptable opponent for Šilhavý, not only in terms of performance, but also in terms of the conditions of promotion from the League of Nations. An acceptable opponent is, of course, Belarus, with which the Czech team, by the way, competed in the qualification for EURO 1996 in England, not to mention Estonia.

I like the band, Jankto praised

“Good group, I like it, Belgium is a clear favorite with its golden generation. Then we will see what we and Wales will play, “praised the Czech national team member Jakub Jankto. “It will be very difficult with Belgium outside, but I think we can play with it at home.”

“A very interesting group with a clear favorite, which is Belgium. A strong generation has grown up there, the Belgians are the best in the FIFA ranking, “added Tomáš Vaclík. “Wales and Gareth Ball are certainly also attractive opponents. I’m curious about other opponents, because I’ve never played against them with the national team before. I believe that we will prepare well for the qualification, and when it starts, we will be fine and in shape to get off to a good start in March. “

Due to the climatic conditions, ten countries were identified as risky, so in one group they could not, for example. end the representations of Iceland and the Faroe Islands.

Furthermore, even before the lot, distances were taken into account, and above all, demanding travel to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Iceland was taken into account.
