Edinson Cavani slowly became an important player at Manchester United. El Matador called Alan Shearer has another role for the Red Devils.
Cavani was brought in free at the start of the 2020/2021 season. At 33, there are doubts that Cavani will be a flop buy.
The Uruguayan player even gave good evidence. He has contributed to the maximum with a score of 3 goals and 2 assists in the Premier League.
Cavani has scored a brace once in the Premier League. He determined MU’s victory over Southampton with a final score of 3-2 in the match which took place at St Mary’s on 11 November 2020.
The former England national team striker, Alan Shearer, sees Cavani’s other function at MU. MU’s front line is currently still inhabited by several young players.
Marcus Rashford is 23 years old, while Mason Greenwood is 19 years old. They are considered to be able to steal knowledge from Cavani in order to appear more effective.
“It will only benefit young players like Rashford and Greenwood,” said Shearer as reported by the Mirror.
“When you look into the dressing room and you see a player with his stature, then you would be foolish if you didn’t really pay attention to him, both on and off the pitch, with his record wherever he is, he’s been successful.”
“For him, coming to a club like this has great potential, all young players can admire him and learn,” he added.
