Russell Westbrook, a simply historic triple-double series

The Washington Wizards are having a catastrophic start to the season with a record of 0 wins and 4 losses. In this galley, Russell Westbrook nevertheless makes interesting beginnings. On these first three matches with the DC franchise (he missed one), the playmaker has achieved three triple-doubles!

In the loss to the Chicago Bulls (107-115), the former Oklahoma City Thunder still compiled 21 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists. And with this performance, the 32-year-old simply made NBA history.

Indeed, since Oscar Robertson in the 1961-62 season, Westbrook became the first player to achieve three triple-doubles in the first three games of a season. A particularly rare performance in the history of the League.

How Russell Westbrook caused a sensation at the Wizards

This is probably a very small consolation prize for the ex-element of the Houston Rockets. Because despite his individual performance, the Wizards fail to win at the start of the season. And as a competitor, Westbrook cannot be satisfied with such a situation.

With the changes made this offseason, Washington will have to find the right formula. But with Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, this team has enough assets to raise its head. For them, the objective remains to join the race for the Playoffs in the East.
