A few months after the next date of the South American qualifiers, it is not known who will be the new coach to replace the Portuguese Carlos Queiroz. Concern for the future of the Colombian National Team grows but, of course, uncertainty is also on the side of Chileans, who are waiting for the decision to Reinaldo Rueda.
Despite the fact that the Colombian has the backing of the Chilean directors, everything seems to indicate that the time for reflection and analysis is over. Before the end of the year, Reinaldo Rueda has to communicate whether or not he continues to lead the team from that country, This was assured by Pablo Milad, president of the ANFP, in an interview with Directv Chile:
“It must be quick: if you decide not to continue, you have to bring in a coach. The deadline is until December 31 ”.
Here’s the outlet’s Twitter post:
P. Milad, President of the ANFP: “We have a limited time to define the situation in Rueda, we must mark a road map in case of his departure. It must be as fast as possible, if you do not decide to continue, we must bring a DT. The deadline is until December 31 ” #DFSHAChile pic.twitter.com/xkDzaF0zyD

Additionally, Milad confirmed the good relationship he has with the Valle del Cauca and, if he returns to Colombia, they will start looking for a new technical director that meets some characteristics such as having experience directing in a World Cup: “We all understand the risk of negotiating elsewhere, we will have to talk and reach a consensus.”
The Chilean National Team is located in position six with four units in the qualifying rounds, the same as Colombia. The defeat with Venezuela left many doubts and therefore the ANFP would have no problem ending the contractual relationship with Rueda.
This is how the negotiations with the Colombian National Team go
According to La Tercera de Chile, there was already a meeting between the president of the Colombian Soccer Federation, Ramón Jesurún, and Reinaldo Rueda. This would have been given after Christmas remotely. Despite this, conversations would be advanced and in the next few days the Colombian could be made official.
However, the aforementioned media said that the biggest drawback to reaching an agreement is the economic one. With the failure in the past investment with Carlos Queiroz, the Federation would not be willing to spend a lot of money. At present, Rueda is located in Colombia.
