PREVIOUS J. 10 / LIBERBANK OVIEDO BASKETBALL WANTS TO END THE YEAR WITH GOOD SENSATIONS

Liberbank Oviedo Baloncesto faces its last match of 2020 in Lugo, where they will face Leche Río Breogán next Wednesday, December 23, at 7:00 p.m., at the Pazo Provincial dos Deportes in Lugo.

  • HOW OURS ARRIVE

The Oviedo team comes at a difficult time after having played five games in the last fourteen days. Despite having won two of the first three, in the last two games Natxo Lezkano’s men fell to Cáceres, a World Heritage Site (88-72) and Leyma Coruña (62-60), both games played outside the Asturian capital.

Leche Río Breogán is currently the leader of the LEB Oro and, after having finished the first round of the first phase on the previous day, the Lugo team has qualified to play the Princess Cup of the 2020/2021 season. Diego Epifanio’s men come to this match after being victorious in their last three games against Ibereólica Renovables Ourense (79-71), Destino Palencia (65-76) and Cáceres World Heritage Site (76-63).

At Leche Río Breogán, the highest rated player in the LEB Oro is currently the center Kevin Larssen. The Dane averages 17.13 PIR credits per game, also standing out in points, with 14.38 (second best mark in the league) and 5.5 rebounds. Another man who is doing a great job in the Lugo team is Lithuanian power forward Mindaugas Kacinas, who has 8.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists and a PIR of 12.8. Finally, the Italian forward Adam Sollazo is another of the important men in the Breogán squad, as he contributes 11.6 PIR credits (12 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 3.4 fouls received).

  • NATXO LEZKANO
    • “We always have to get the positive side, and in the game against Coruña we have many positive things to get out. Among them, that we managed to compete and almost beat one of the best teams in the league on their court, and that has to serve as an excuse, to know that we did something well in the game, and although the end was disastrous, during the the rest of the time there were positive aspects and we have to see it that way ”.
    • “The truth is that when we played in Cáceres they were very successful and it was difficult to get hold of them, but Coruña was not so successful in that sense, and by being better in defense and knowing how to read it a little better, we were able to take him to our field within the possibilities that the rival gave us. At least we learned from Cáceres’ game and the team showed personality ”.
    • “The truth is that we arrived very tight in strength at the end of the year, they have been very hard months, but especially a hard December, because we are already accumulating many overloads, and small blows, which in normal conditions you recover in two or three days, but as now there is so much game in a row, there is no time for them to get well. We came to this match with just strength ”.
    • “The game against Breogán will be one of the most difficult games of the season, if not the most difficult. We play against the best team in the competition, and on their court, even if the Pazo is not going to be full, there will be an audience, and they will be noticed. After their team qualifies for the Princess Cup, they are in a great moment, both on a basketball and emotional level ”.
  • SITUATION OF THE WORKFORCE

As the Liberbank Oviedo Baloncesto coach declares, the OCB squad arrives with a fair amount of strength at the following match: “We have players with overloads, like the case of Oliver Arteaga that I don’t know if he will be able to play. Other men have problems with bumps and small sprains that in normal conditions should heal in a few days of rest, but we have been dragging them for a long time. The day of the game there will be no pain, everyone will want to play, but the truth is that the rest after this game is good for us ”.

The meeting will be directed by the members Ángel Antonio Albacete Chamón, Juan Manuel Uruñuela Uruñuela and Alejandro Aranzana García.

As in all the matches that Liberbank Oviedo Baloncesto disputes away from home, the clash against Leche Río Breogán can be followed through VINX Tv on Telecable and its YouTube channel, and on LaLigaSports mobile and Smart Tv applications TV.

The OCB deserves to fight for its dreams
