Pablo Bruna, the new Athens player and a tremendous retro photo

Pablo Bruna comes to Athens to help get him off the bottom of the National Basketball League standings. The 33-year-old base from Córdoba was waiting for an opportunity to return to the elite. And it was given.

This Wednesday, the General Bustos neighborhood club confirmed their arrival at the campus led by Cristian Colli and Nicolás Arduh. The owner will arrive in Córdoba on Saturday, accompanied by his family, and on Monday, January 4, he will begin training with his new teammates.

His debut with the Green shirt will be on January 13, in the resumption of the National League for Cordoba, against Mercedes Communications, again in the City of Buenos Aires.

Minutes after confirming her arrival in Athens, Bruna posted a historical photo on Twitter, wearing a shirt of the General Bustos neighborhood club with the emblematic number 9, which Marcelo Milanesio used throughout his career.

The number is retired by Athens and you will not be able to use it.

“The photo is from when I started playing basketball, at the age of five or six, more or less,” Pablo tells World D.

“I started playing basketball at the Rieles school,” he adds. And on “9” he highlighted: “Marcelo Milanesio is my idol.”

He base was champion with Institute in promotion to the National League, and played two seasons in the elite with Gloria. He also acted in Salta Basket and in Platense.

“I come to help the kids,” he completed his arrival in Athens.
