In the last Covid-19 tests at the National Basketball Association (NBA), no infection was found among the players, the league informs. Since December 24, 495 players have been tested and all the results have been negative. In a previous test from December 16 to 24, Covid-19 was found in two of the 558 basketball players tested.

All players diagnosed with the virus immediately go into isolation and remain there until the league has given permission to return to the team. Such rules were previously agreed by the NBA with the Players’ Association (NBPA) in collaboration with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In last season’s final tournament in Orlando, none of the basketball players were diagnosed with Covid-19. The new NBA season began on December 22nd.
