NFL Pool: surprise your opponent!

football/nfl/story">

For many football fans, the 16th week of NFL activity will be the last in your pool for 2020. For those who have made it to the finals, there are probably still a few players available for waivers and those could make you. earn top honors.

Here are six:

Jalen Hurts, quarterback (available in 61% of Yahoo! leagues)

If his first career start didn’t impress you, the second will undoubtedly change your mind. The Philadelphia Eagles pivot had fun against the Arizona Cardinals defense, passing 338 yards in addition to handing the ball three times for majors. He also racked up 63 yards with his legs while registering a touchdown.

Marcus Mariota, quarterback (available in 99% of Yahoo! leagues)

The former first-round pick (2nd overall) of the Tennessee Titans spent the entire season playing second fiddle behind Derek Carr for the Las Vegas Raiders. As a replacement for the latter, injured early in the game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Mariota excelled, completing 17 of 28 attempted passes for 226 yards and a touchdown. The pivot also ran for 88 additional yards and a major.

Tony Pollard, running back (available in 54% of Yahoo! leagues)

Pollard took advantage of Ezekiel Elliott’s injury to lead the Dallas Cowboys backfielder and he completed his mission with flying colors. He amassed total gains of 132 yards (69 rushing, 63 passing), in addition to registering two majors for his own. In the event that Elliott is unable to play in Week 16, Pollard is a quality option.

Salvon Ahmed, running back (available in 66% of Yahoo! leagues)

Like Pollard in Dallas, Ahmed took advantage of the absence of Miami Dolphins main running back Myles Gaskin to shine with 122 rushing yards and a touchdown. His situation will need to be watched closely, since if Gaskin, who is affected by COVID-19, cannot take part in his family’s next game, Ahmed will still have a big role to play.

Russell Gage, wide receiver (available in 66% of Yahoo! leagues)

If there’s one person profiting from Julio Jones’ injury to the Atlanta Falcons, it’s Gage. Once again, he was one of Matt Ryan’s favorite targets, as he concluded the game with five catches for 68 yards, in addition to finding the end zone on one occasion.

Running back Le’Veon Bell (Available in 46% of Yahoo! leagues)

Chances are pretty good that Bell already has a spot on a team in your league, but if he’s on waivers, it’s an offer that can’t be turned down. The injury to Clyde Edwards-Helaire opens the door for Bell to take the reins of the Kansas City Chiefs fullback. He also scored a major in the last match of his family.
