Türkoğlu’s message is as follows:
“Dear members of our basketball family and dear basketball lovers,
As the year 2020 begins; We were excited about important developments in Turkish basketball, both in terms of sports and institutional terms. Our A Men’s National Team is getting ready to fight for the Olympics in Canada, our representatives were continuing to make our country proud in European cups. However, the Kovid-19 pandemic, which affected the whole world at the beginning of the year, unfortunately caused some changes and new regulations in sports organizations.
All these developments make the year 2021 even more important for Turkish basketball; The future steps we took in the pandemic year we left behind increased our hopes for the new year.
Firstly; I would like to thank our healthcare professionals who are struggling with heart and soul in the forefront of the Kovid-19 pandemic in our difficult days. They have become the true heroes of 2020.
With the pandemic, we had to change our ongoing habits in sports, as in all areas of life. Although we cannot bring the excitement of basketball to the audience in the halls; I am grateful to all my teammates who are working for the continuation of this excitement and the continuation of the matches, the athletes of our valuable clubs, technical and administrative staff, and our national teams who are prepared for the matches by taking the necessary precautions and who are ready for the matches with all their passion.
At this point, I would like to open a topic for our sponsors who prove their belief in basketball and their support at every opportunity. We are happy to bring new sponsors to basketball, not only to re-agree on the management of the Kovid-19 process with almost all of our sponsors that we position as our business partners. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to the esteemed stakeholders of our basketball for their trust in us and their belief in our togetherness.
Another important event of 2020 for us was the distance education platform TBF Academy, which we put into action at the beginning of the period when the effects of Kovid-19 were felt in our country, and in fact, the foundations of which were laid long ago. A reflection of our corporate vision that those interested in basketball all over Turkey with TBF Academy and those who want to part of this sport professional life, reach out to online training in various fields, they can qualify for certification. The sum of all the federations in the Pandemic process by organizing more training we have examples all over the world not only in Turkey. We are proud of the point we have reached in TBF Academy, especially in an environment where distance education has gained such importance.
The year we left behind was also the year in which the steps we took to create basketball culture in our country were rewarded once again. As is known, in 2019, our visual memory basketball, ‘Turkey’s Basketball Love’ book we publish. In addition to this in 2020, capable taught as an academic resource ‘Turkey Basketball History’ books, we have met with the reader.
By completing the necessary legal permissions, we have come to the implementation stage in our Basketball Development Center project, which we have been working meticulously for a long time, to replace the Abdi İpekçi Sports Hall. We aim to hit the first dig in 2021 in order to eliminate an important deficiency in Turkish basketball and provide a facility that can be an example for our national teams and youth in Europe and the world.

We wish the new year to bring beauties for our country and nation, and wish all basketball fans a happy and successful year; I would like to state that our greatest desire for 2021 is to bring basketball to the audience and to live in a completely healthy environment, the days we will be happy with new successes in basketball.
