Melbourne to report positive cases again after 61 days

After 61 days without notifying any positive case of COVID-19 in the state of Victoria (Melbourne), today the health authorities have confirmed the three confirmed positive cases. On New Year’s Eve, the return of the virus could potentially call into question the celebration of the Open de Australia, postponed from February 8 to 21, 2021. The three cases that have been identified in Melbourne have not been identified in the hotel reserved for tennis players during that quarantine period. Health authorities are trying to identify and contact people who could have been in contact with the positives. The government will soon publish a list of areas potentially exposed by the virus.
