Medina: In the second half we went to the workshops that we know

Workshops managed to draw a draw against Athletic Tucuman on a difficult night, for the second date of the Championship Phase of the Diego Maradona Cup.

El Matador had to deal with various problems, but ended up proving his worth, beyond not being able to win.

That was also highlighted by his coach, the Uruguayan Alexander Medina, who was satisfied with the face of his team in the complement.

“It was a rough start game: they converted us and Marcos Díaz’s injury. In the second half we went to the workshops we know. We had more situations, we deserved. The draw was not fair. We did more in search of the result. We had more situations of goal, eight corners against zero. But the matches are won with goals, “said Medina.

Then, he added: “We made enough merits to tie it before. The team made the effort and put conditions against a rival who knows what he plays and is very tough. Atlético Tucumán throws himself and makes fouls.”

“Marcos Díaz felt a muscle problem. Now they are diagnosing him. We will see as the hours go by. With Joaquín (Blázquez) I am very satisfied with the poise with which he did it,” added the DT about the accident change of goalkeepers.

El Matador will now put his mind on what is coming: the visit to Gimnasia La Plata, for the third date, on Monday 28, at 9:30 p.m.
