Man United currently leads the Group H standings with nine points, the same as PSG and RB Leipzig, in second and third place.

Man United just need a draw on matchday sixth to qualify for the knockout phase. Likewise with PSG.

The course of the match

Paris Saint-Germain, who were the visitors for this match, took the initiative to attack from the first minute.

The results were immediately visible when the game had only been running for six minutes. PSG opened the scoring through Neymar.

Starting from Kylian Mbappe’s kick which hit one of Man United’s defender, the ball then changed direction into the penalty box.

At the same time, Neymar ran from the second line and immediately fired a right-footed volley which David De Gea could not stop.

In the 10th minute, PSG almost doubled their lead if Alessandro Florenzi’s rocket was not pushed over by De Gea.

Fifteen minutes of the game running, PSG was 64 percent superior in possession compared to Man United’s 34 percent.

Thomas Tuchel’s fleet unleashed a total of five kicks with two of them leading to the goal.

Meanwhile, The Red Devils only have one shot on target in that period.

Man United was only able to get out of the pressure of the visitors and turn the game back when the game was half an hour old.

After several chances, Man United finally scored an equalizer in the 32nd minute.

Marcus Rashford’s kick from outside the penalty box was deflected by Danilo Pereira, which left goalkeeper Keylor Nvas dead.

The 1-1 draw position lasted until the two team players entered the dressing room.

Entering the second half, Man United immediately stepped on the gas. They got their first chance through the collaboration of Marcus Rashford-Anthony Martial.

Rashford sent a bait and was accepted by Martial who was standing in the Les Parisiens penalty box.

Unfortunately, Martial’s finishing was bad. Kick bounced over the goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Man United should thank De Gea for thwarting PSG’s 99 percent chance of a goal in the 68th minute.

The goalkeeper from Spain broke Mitchel Bakker’s close-range shot.

However, a minute later, the Man United goal conceded an “easy” goal from Marquinhos.

Already left behind, Man United instead have to play with 10 people following Fred’s second yellow card in the 70th minute.

The Brazilian anchor midfielder stopped Ander Herrera who was on the counterattack.

Losing one player made Man United lose balance. This was used by PSG to continue to attack.

With a quick counterattack, PSG almost added their lead in the 89th minute if Dean Mbappe’s distance didn’t go sideways.

PSG finally closed the match with a 3-1 win after Neymar scored a goal in injury time (90 + 1 ‘).
