LAST HOUR: peak and ID return to Bogotá | Only one family member can make purchases and more restrictions | Where can I enter according to my ID | Outside of Soccer

From this Monday, December 21, until next January 15, 2021, Bogotá will resume the peak and ID measure as a method to combat the increase in coronavirus infections in the capital. This was announced by Mayor Claudia López, who confirmed that once again only one member per family unit will be able to go shopping. The president affirmed that these two measures of care are retaken to lower the speed of infections and avoid a bitter end of the year.

“In the last two weeks the speed of contagion has increased, because many people are letting their guard down. We have tried to have an enormous awareness and accompaniment to families and businesses, but we cannot relax. If we don’t take additional measures, we are going to end up having a bitter end of the year and that is not what we want, ”said the district president.

The peak and ID will begin to apply from 00:00 hours on December 21 to enter any establishment where activities such as the acquisition and payment of goods and services are carried out; purchase of any product at retail and wholesale. Also for banking, financial, notarial and citizen service procedures in public entities.

The measure will be applied in the same way as it was done in July of this year for restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores, shopping centers, banks and notaries. On odd days, people whose identity card or identity document ends in an odd digit will not be able to access these services and establishments. On even days, people whose identity card or identity document ends in an even digit will not be able to access these services and establishments.

Only health centers, pharmacies and funeral services will be exempted from this new measure. Additionally, in cases of notarial, banking, financial and administrative services and procedures where the simultaneous appearance of two or more people is required, the exception will also apply.

“This is the time to stay in self-care, please everyone who wants to have a meeting with their parents on December 24 and 31, should be isolated; those who are most contagious are the elderly: moms, dads, uncles and grandparents. That is why we always remind you of the permanent use of a mask, distancing, hand washing and voluntary isolation. So we can all spend a merry Christmas and a happy New Year without having anything to regret ”, reiterated Mayor Claudia López.
