After 54 victories in a row, the Swedish junior series in the basic groups of the World Championships ended, as Tre Kronor hockey players were not enough for Russia. For the Czechs, this means that it will not end better than the fourth. For the first time in history, Germany celebrates its participation in the quarterfinals.
Peterka and Stützle fired the procedure
When else, if not in a group alongside Slovaks and a visibly weak year of Swiss. The Germans took the opportunity and their twenties will play off for the first time in history! But she wouldn’t be able to do it without two players.
John-Jason Peterka scored a hat-trick and two assists against Switzerland, Tim Stützle had the opposite balance. They arranged the 5: 4 victory completely on their own. Germany also led 4-0 and in the end had to reflect a great comeback.
However, players with the Helvetic Cross woke up too late at the World Cup. After all, they have scored the only (!) Goal in 11 thirds … Fortunately, they do not have to face the threat of relegation, this year all teams have a rescue guaranteed.

Fourteen years and enough!
On December 31, 2006, the Swedes lost in Leksand to the United States. Since then, you have been able to bet on their victory in every match of the basic group of the championship, and you have money in your pocket. The series lasted an incredible 54 matches, but after fourteen years it’s over.
The best match of the tournament so far was decided by the Russians. The Swedes became fatal fouls: They only went to the penalty box four times, which is definitely not a tragedy … But they got a goal three times. Therefore, they only had to catch up all the time.
The last expulsion of Costmar punished in extension Marat Chusnutdinov. After losing to the Czech Republic, Sborná woke up and jumped to the head of the group, from where, however, she can be deposed by her current opponent or the United States.
The result also saddened the Czech hockey players. They lost the chance to advance from better than fourth place, so if they manage their task against the Austrians, they will face the winner of the second group in the quarterfinals. And few doubt it will be Canada.
