A scandal broke out in the country when you tested positive for Covid-19 and stated that you and some Junior players experienced symptoms after the match against Unión La Calera, in Chile, and before the game against América, in Cali. Juan Cruz Real, coach of the scarlet box, even described them as “irresponsible” for directing and playing. Do you want to clarify or say something about this situation?

I think there was a scandal about something I said. It seems to me, really, that a headache, because what I felt was a headache, is not the only reason to isolate myself. In that sense, football could not return. I felt a headache like many times this year, and all the tests that they did to me at some point for that and for some flu that I felt, they were negative. We came from a very long trip and that was the result of fatigue. The symptom, which was a headache, was not accompanied by a fever or any other symptoms that would suggest that I had to isolate myself. To think that I am going to expose my players, a whole staff that goes with us and my family, would be crazy. From there, what was generated was generated and I am not going to justify absolutely anything, simply say that that was what happened, nothing more.
