Green light for the new executive committee of the Spanish Basketball Federation

The Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) gives the green light to the new composition of its executive committee, after the reelection of Jorge Garbosa as president of the entity, for the next four years. The management committee, a body created in 2016, has as its mission the management of the federation’s activities.

The executive committee for the 2020-2024 period will be chaired by Garbajosa and made up of the following members: Óscar Graefenhain (FEB general director), José Miguel Sierra (FEB vice president and president of the Aragones Federation), Antonio de Torres (FEB vice president and president of the Andalusian Federation), Santos Moraga (FEB vice president and president of the Madrid Federation) and Ferrán Aril (FEB vice president and president of the Catalan Federation).

Likewise, the members also include Óscar Castañeda (president of the Castilla León Federation), Carlos Olano (president of the Canary Federation), Susana Fernández (general secretary of the Galician Federation), Elisa Aguilar (director of the League Office FEB), María Jaume (Presidency Area of ​​the Balearic Islands Federation), Marta Fernández (former international player), Juan Carlos Hernández (president of the Murcia Federation), José Esteban Gálvez (president of the Castilla la Mancha Federation) , Amaya Valdemoro (former international player) and Belén Cocero (director of Human Resources at FEB).

The duties of the executive commission include managing the activities of the federation, interpreting the regulations and assisting the president, as well as making the necessary preliminary reports on the FEB president’s proposals for the creation of new FEB commissions or committees, and the appointment of the FEB members that comprise them, as explained by the agency through a statement.

At the end of last November, the FEB approved the accounts for the 2019 financial year, which closed with a positive balance of 1.7 million euros. The 2020 budget, meanwhile, will rise to 17.4 million euros, compared to 18.8 million euros the previous year.
