Ganaye (KV Oostende) will also become CEO of French second division team Nancy | football France

The American majority shareholders of KV Oostende have reached an agreement to also acquire the French second division AS Nancy. After Ostend, Barnsley and Thun it will be the 4th club in the consortium.

“The talks with AS Nancy had been going on for several months and were concluded on this last day of the year,” reports Ostend CEO Gauthier Ganaye. The Frenchman will fulfill the same role at Nancy as at Ostend.

“However, that does not mean that I will relinquish or reduce my duties at KVO. The fact that a new club is being added to the consortium also means even more opportunities for KVO in terms of sporting and economic growth. “

“The different clubs can only strengthen each other in their operation. We always take into account the local anchoring and identity of the clubs.”

Nancy was relegated from first to second division in 2017 and is now in 17th place there.
