The name of Alejandro Gomez looks set to be one of the hottest ahead of the January market.
The break between the Papu and the coach ofAtalanta Gian Piero Gasperini is now well known, as well as the fact that between the two the Argentine playmaker will change the air, confined to the bench for the first 70 minutes of the match against Juventus who saw him enter the crosshairs of the Bergamo supporters after the cameras pinched him to sing the anthem of the bianconeri in the pre-match.
Whether it was a provocation or a hint of the market is not yet known, certainly there are many big Serie A players and not only ready to support the Gomez operation already in January.
Atalanta has already made it clear that they are unwilling to give away the former Catania card, but on the economic level the deal does not, however, promise to be prohibitive for those who want to face it.
Under contract with the Goddess until 2022, in fact, Gomez’s salary is “only” 2 million, well within the reach of the top clubs. Unless the age-related variable of the player takes over, who will turn 33 on February 15th. Not many, but not even very few in particular for those companies that aim to rejuvenate the squad.
Among these is Milan, or the club that in the last few hours had been indicated as the most interested in Gomez.
As reported by ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’, the approval remains, in particular by Stefano Pioli, as well as the good relations between the clubs and between the player’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, and the Rossoneri club. Elliott himself, however, is not in favor of supporting expensive operations for players over thirty, so the possible negotiation promises to be uphill.
Good news for Inter, Lazio e Roma, or rather the other clubs, together with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, ready to evaluate the idea-Gomez. Moreover, the Rossoneri owners would not want to intervene on the attack in view of the January market, despite the difficulties shown by the department in the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
