With Stefano Denswil and Bryan Reynolds, among others, Club Brugge is currently exploring some interesting transfer paths. The first big fish of the summer mercato has already caught the national champion. For example, the Dutchman Bas Dost was announced as the new striker at Blauw-Zwart.
The 31-year-old former player of VfL Wolfsburg and Sporting Lisbon, among others, completed his medical tests at Club at the beginning of this week. He then signed a contract that binds him to the JPL title defender for a year and a half. Last summer, Blauw-Zwart also showed interest, but then no agreement was reached. In a new attempt an agreement was therefore found with Eintracht Frankfurt. Reportedly Club paid about 4 to 5 million euros. “Club Brugge pushed very hard for Bas and for us this is a lucrative deal”, said Fredi Bobic, sports director at Frankfurt, afterwards.
But not everyone at the German club appears to be equally satisfied with this transfer. Coach Adi Hütter, for example, reacted quite irritated when his opinion was asked. “That was a Christmas surprise, but not a fun one. From a sporting point of view, this is a loss”, said Hütter among others. Sky in The world. The trainer therefore demands that the board will provide him with a suitable replacement. “Otherwise we take a very big risk. We aim for the arrival of a fast, physically strong attacker. Someone who can be deployed immediately.”
“I immediately feel like training!”
