Excitement and joy flooded the streets of San Pedro del Pinatar yesterday as the Lottery administration known as “El Perolo” distributed more than 2.5 million euros in prizes for the Extraordinary Christmas Draw. But undoubtedly, the most striking anecdote of the municipality’s administration number 2 is that it distributed only a tenth of the number awarded with “El Gordo”, whose number, 72897, was contained in a Christmas basket prepared by the Redissa company & Dibos, from Alcantarilla. “An employee is going to have a spectacular Christmas bonus.” With this, there are now three occasions that “El Perolo” has brought the fate of “El Gordo” to the municipality, since it also celebrated it in 2017 and 2018.
This was said yesterday by the manager of Loterías Perolo, Miguel Ángel Zapata, who before this award was sung at 12:02 noon, was already celebrating other awards sold in that same administration located on Gabriel Cañadas street number 15.
In addition to this award, he had also sold ten numbers of the second prize, 06095; 601 tenths of a fourth prize with the number 75981; a tenth of a fifth prize with the number 86986; and another tenth of another fifth prize with the number 19371.
According to Zapata, the most distributed were those of the fourth prize, and he announced that the majority had been acquired by the judo club Forum, from Almería, and the basketball club Estudiantes de Cartagena, who had distributed it on ballots, as he pointed out in statements to Europa Press.
Without a doubt, the satisfaction of this administration was not for less, since as they explained, in their five years open they have already distributed about 20 million euros. “For things like these it is worth getting up every morning, especially in a year as complicated as this 2020 has been,” said Zapata.
But San Pedro del Pinatar was not the only Murcian municipality that enjoyed the joy of the National Lottery. Very early riser, just a few minutes after the draw began, a fifth prize with 86986 distributed a pinch of happiness in several municipalities, such as Murcia, Totana, Alcantarilla, Águilas, Cieza, Los Alcázares and Torre Pacheco.
Undoubtedly, with this number, the residents of Alcantarilla were able to celebrate an extraordinary Tuesday in style, since according to one of the administration workers located in the Mayor Street of the municipality, ten tenths had been sold, so they estimated a distribution of 60,000 euros.
For its part, the city of Murcia was the second most attractive town in the Region in this Draw, since the second prize, with the number 06095 awarded with 215 million euros, was sold in the administration of El Puente, where Conchi, One of the local regents explained that the lucky ones were “the season-long season ticket holders, who always play the same number.”
Precisely, this same administration also sold a fifth prize, although on that occasion through the terminal.
As he explained to Efe, one of those tickets was bought by a woman on Monday afternoon, moments before the office closed. In total, the firm has given this year more than 1.2 million euros in prizes.
