FC Bayern: newcomers in the check – Sané disappointed, just a ray of hope

Newcomers in check: FC Bayern: Sané disappointed, three new ones flop, just one ray of hope

Leroy Sané was FC Bayern’s king transfer in the summer. Now the national player is heavily criticized. Sané disappoints in Munich. Not the only newcomer to flop so far. The newcomers are not yet strengthened – there are only single bright spots. Bavaria’s newcomers in check.

In winter the staff will not be improved again FC Bayern – that much is certain. “We haven’t had a single viewer since March 8th, and that may not change until the end of the season,” said CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in the “double pass” at Sport1 and added: “We have to take that into account.”

Is called: The current squad should fix it – and, if possible, defend the triple. Financially, no risks are taken due to the corona loads, transfers with a sense of proportion are now the motto. “But we don’t want to give anyone up either,” said Rummenigge.

Tiago Dantas strengthens professional squad in January

With Tiago Dantas (19), who is eligible to play for the professionals from January, but only sporadically convinced the amateurs, there is at least an internal newcomer. In addition, the injured Leon Goretzka, Kingsley Coman and Javi Martínez are expected back after the turn of the year.

So everything is great in the team of coach Hansi Flick? Not necessarily. Because of the seven newcomers who moved to Munich in the summer, very few were convincing. Lots of room for improvement – the AZ check.

Königstransfer Sané disappointed at Bayern

Leroy Sané (24): Substituted and replaced against Leverkusen, put under pressure by Rummenigge with the statement that he had to “justify” the trust of the club: Sané has had a difficult first half of the year and has not yet met expectations.

Five goals and three assists in 16 appearances are decent, but nothing more. Sané, who also struggled with a capsule injury after his cruciate ligament tear, has to improve significantly.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (31): “Choupo”, the back-up for world footballer Robert Lewandowski, fulfills its role as requested. He scores (at least three goals and one assist in just 382 minutes of playing time), does not complain and is in a good mood internally. A sensible transfer from Munich.

Alexander Nübel (24): The goalkeeper was allowed to play two games because Manuel Neuer was given a break. And Nübel did his thing in both Champions League (against Atlético) as well in the DFB Cup (against Düren) good, radiated security. So it can go on for him.

Douglas Costa falls in the hierarchy – Roca is hardly in demand

Marc Roca (24): Bayern paid nine million euros for the Espanyol Barcelona midfielder, who should provide valuable services as an alternative to Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka after leaving Thiago.

Roca hardly succeeded. Seven mostly short missions stand for the Spanier one misses the balance sheet, the pace and the toughness of the competition.

Douglas Costa (30): Also the brazilian Returnees did not prove to be reinforcements. Costa has only scored one goal in 14 games, plus three assists. Behind Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, Sané and 17-year-old Jamal Musiala, he is only number five on the offensive wing. Far too little of Costa’s sprints and dribbling past the opponent was seen. Can the loan player (Juventus Turin) improve?

Hope bearer Nianzou in injury bad luck – but a ray of hope

Tanguy Nianzou (18): Bad luck for that french Jewel in the first months of Bavaria. Nianzou was stopped twice by serious thigh injuries, because of a torn muscle bundle he currently has to take a long break again. Time of return: probably at the end of January.

Nianzou has already indicated his class. “He was thrown into the game today. It’s not that easy, but so he can be proud of himself,” said Coach Flick after the 3-1 win in Stuttgartwhen Nianzou replaced Jérôme Boateng in the second half. At Bayern, they fully rely on their defensive talent – now only the body has to play along permanently.

Bouna Sarr (28): The fact that central defender Niklas Süle last played there twice shows how great the need is in the right-back position. Benjamin Pavard is in deep form, newcomer Sarr is a long way from being called a top alternative.

More on the subject:

Joshua Kimmich is back. Six weeks after his meniscus operation, he urges Bayern coach Hansi Flick to bring him into the game against Leverkusen, although a substitution is not actually planned. But Flick brings him – and Kimmich helps turn the game.

FC Bayern is dragging itself into the winter break with a lot of effort and dizziness on the last meters of 2020. The heavy program takes its toll on the record champions. But no other club takes the chance. BVB, RB Leipzig or Bayer Leverkusen are not there.

Substituted and exchanged. Bayern star Leroy Sané experienced an evening to forget at the top Bundesliga game in Leverkusen. Coach Hansi Flick gave him only 35 minutes of play until he was replaced by youngster Jamal Musiala. There is criticism from Lothar Matthäus.
