David Rosario is recognized as coach of the year by the portal “Cancha Latina”

The Puerto Rican coach David Rosario and his team Real Estelí of the Nicaraguan basketball league were recognized by the specialized portal “Latin Court” as the best Latin coach of the year and the best team, respectively.

In the summary made by the web magazine it is highlighted that Rosario led Real Estelí to revalidate as champions of the Superior Basketball League (LSB) in October 2019 and repeated this year, to lead that quintet to obtain their third title in a row. He also won another championship with Caballos de Cocle, in Panama, in January 2020. Finally, he mentioned the outstanding participation of the coach and his team in the first edition of the Basketball Champions League (BCL) Americas.

“I am happy and proud for the award, and -obviously- it is an award for the work, effort and dedication that we give to the sport we love so much, which is basketball.”, said the leader about this award.

The technician shared that he was also recognized by the Managua mayor’s office with the Alexis Argüello Order for Sports Excellence. Rosario explained that this award is given to athletes who set the standard with their work.

Rosario is in Nicaragua to prepare the Estelianos for their second participation in the BCL Americas.

The leaders awarded in previous years were Néstor “Che” García in 2017, Lucas Victoriano in 2018 and Fernando Duró in 2019.
