Criminals take advantage of Paolo Rossi’s funeral to rob his house

The housing of the Italian soccer legend Paolo Rossi, who died on Wednesday at the age of 64, was robbed this Saturday by criminals who took advantage of the absence of the family during the funeral of the hero of the World Cup in Spain, as reported by the ANSA news agency. The theft was discovered by the widow, Federica Cappelletti, who upon returning home found everything in disarray. According to police sources, among the stolen items was Rossi’s watch, and cash was also stolen.

The funeral took place in the cathedral of the city of Vicenza and was broadcast on television with only 250 people inside the temple, although Hundreds of ‘tifosi’ gathered in the square to see the coffin arrive carried by former teammates. Rossi will be cremated this Sunday in the Perugia cemetery.
