Coming to the Serie B Club, Mario Balotelli will reunite with the former AC Milan boss

KOMPAS.com – Mario Balotelli is reportedly close to the Italian Serie B club, AC Monza. Balotelli will also be reunited with Adriano Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi.

All market on Saturday (5/12/2020) local time reported that Mario Balotelli chose Monza as his new club.

At the club that is currently serving in Serie B or the second level competition of the Italian League, Balotelli is said to be signing a short-term contract until June 30, 2021.

Monza CEO who is also a former vice president of AC Milan, Adriano Galliani, believes that the 30-year forward’s career is not over.

“I often beat him (Mario Balotelli). I told him that this is really the last call,” said Galliani.

“I love Mario. He has to work harder, technically and physically. He has shown extraordinary quality, it is not clear why he cannot continue that. He is only 30 years old,” he added.

Galliani added that President Silvio Berlusconi was happy with the idea of ​​bringing in Mario Balotelli.

“The president was very enthusiastic. He said ‘OK’ and he was very happy. I called Mario and he spoke to us,” said Galliani.

“Mario will need a few weeks because he stopped playing for a while, then the decision is up to the coach,” he said.

“Then if we are all happy, it will continue,” said Galliani again.

Last season, Mario Balotelli returned to Italy to defend his hometown club, Brescia.

The former Inter Milan and AC Milan player appeared in 19 Serie A matches and scored five goals.

However, there Balotelli missed training several times and his contract was terminated at the end of the 2019-2020 season, following Brescia’s relegation to Serie B.

AC Monza will be Mario Balotelli’s ninth club.

Apart from Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani, two other former AC Milan players who are currently on the Monza team are coach Cristian Brocchi and also Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.
