Cleveland Cavaliers City Edition Uniform, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

NBA franchises were slowly launching their jerseys for the 2020-21 season, but one particular design has sparked most of the discussion.

The Cleveland Cavalier City Edition uniform was brutally mocked by fans after it was leaked this week. Some bluntly claim that it looks ugly.

However, many critics quickly changed their minds when they discovered a hidden detail in the jersey’s design.

In recognition of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, each letter of the jersey text is taken from the logo of a legendary rock band.

There has been a lot of discussion on social media about which letter represents which band, but the general consensus seems to be:

C. – Cleveland Cavaliers

L. – sex pistols

E. – The Who (or possibly the Sex Pistols again)

V. – David Bowie

E. – Metallica

L. – The Beatles (or possibly Led Zeppelin)

ONE – Nirvana

N. – BLACK

D. – Pink Floyd

The Cavaliers had a 2019-20 horror season in which they finished last on the ladder of the Eastern Conference with a 19-46 record.

The 2020/21 NBA season is slated to begin on Tuesday, December 22nd. However, the start could be delayed due to a rapid surge in COVID-19 cases.

NBA players began daily coronavirus tests over the weekend under new health and safety procedures set by the league for clubs.

Although last season in Orlando ended in a bubble, each club’s 72 games this season will be played in empty home arenas.

The NBA will announce the 2020/21 schedule in the coming days.
