SV Ried has found a successor for trainer Gerald Baumgartner. As the club from Upper Austria announced on New Year’s Eve, Miron Muslic will take over the office on January 1, 2021. The 38-year-old was most recently head coach at FAC Vienna. At the same time as Miron Muslic, Wolfgang Fiala will start his work as a sports coordinator at Ried.

“Miron Muslic knows SV Guntamatic Ried very well. In Ried, he not only worked as an assistant trainer for the professionals, but also as a trainer for the Young Vikings and the Academy. In coordination with the board of directors, we decided to take a new, courageous path together with Miron Muslic ”, SVR managing director Rainer Wöllinger was quoted in a broadcast.

Muslic and Fiala will be officially presented at a press conference on January 4th at 11 a.m. as part of the training session. “I’m really happy that SV Guntamatic Ried is giving me the chance to work as a coach in the Bundesliga,” Muslic was quoted as saying on Thursday.
