Striker Bas Dost is leaving Frankfurt Eintracht with immediate effect. The Dutchman moves to a top Belgian club. Eintracht sports director Bobic justifies the change with the corona pandemic.

Bhe Dost is leaving the Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt. The Dutchman is moving to Belgian top club FC Brugge with immediate effect, as the Hessians announced on Thursday evening. Both clubs recently agreed on the change modalities, it said.

The 31-year-old striker originally had a contract with Eintracht until June 30, 2022. “As is well known, the pandemic presented us with economic challenges. Club Bruges went to great lengths to get Bas, and for us it is a lucrative package. The top priority at this time is to act economically and for the benefit of Eintracht Frankfurt. We do it by fulfilling the player’s wish, ”said Eintracht sports director Fredi Bobic.

Dost moved from Sporting Lisbon to Main in the summer of 2019. From 2012 to 2016 he played for VfL Wolfsburg.
