The ATP Cup was held for the first time in 2020 and replaces the Hopman Cup. The premiere was won by the Serbian team under the leadership of Novak Djokovic. The German team, on the other hand, experienced a debacle at the beginning of the year and was eliminated in the preliminary round.
This year the ATP Cup will take place in Melbourne from February 1st to 5th. For Germany, Alexander Zverev and Jan-Lennard Struff are expected to complete the singles, the French Open winners Andreas Mies and Kevin Krawietz will probably serve in doubles.
Further information on the individual teams will be announced in the next few days. The number of teams will be reduced from 24 to twelve in 2021, but the format will remain the same. There will be four groups of three teams each, and the best team in each group will reach the semi-finals.
