ADO Den Haag continues with the arrival of experienced Vejinovic: ‘Persistence wins’

Marko Vejinovic returns to the premier league after just under two years. The midfielder (30) is the second experienced force to strengthen the selection of ADO Den Haag this week in the fight against relegation.

Two days ago, 34-time Orange international Daryl Janmaat signed a contract until mid-2023. Now Vejinovic is doing the same for the number seventeen in the premier league.

“It is important that we can now also add an experienced connection player to our young selection in midfield”, says Martin Jol, head of the so-called Technical Heart of ADO. “Marko is a player that we actually wanted to have for the season, but was unattainable at the time. However, it has turned out that persistence wins.”

Ambitions

After Vejinovic had his contract with the Polish Arka Gdynia terminated after relegation, he turned up as a test player at FC Volendam two months ago. Although coach Wim Jonk would have liked to add him to his selection, the player let him know that he still has his ambitions in the premier league.
