This time, Rafael Nadal’s throne could falter. Displaced in the fall due to coronavirus, the Parisian Major was played in the cold, the humidity, almost without an audience, with balls that did not suit him. Beaten in the quarters in Rome just before, the Spaniard also presented himself almost without benchmarks for his favorite tournament. But on the clay court of Roland-Garros, Nadal was once again unbeatable. The awakening of the world No. 1 in the last round did nothing (7-5): Nadal won for the 13th time the biggest tournament on clay and thus equaled Roger Federer’s record for 20 major titles.
