Lil Nas X announced the release of a new song called “Holiday” – this Friday (November 13th) – in an absurd and spectacular way. During today’s game between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a commercial was broadcast in which the rapper “Old Town Road” becomes Santa Claus through Tim Allen Santa Claus Contract. Then he seems to be traveling through time on Santa’s sleigh and prompts Michael J. Fox to say, “Whatever you do, Nas, don’t go until 2020.” Check it out below.
“Old Town Road” and “Panini” were included in Nas’ outbreak 7 EP. He was one of the musicians invited to perform on the new one Sesame Street Spin-off series The not too late show with Elmo earlier this year. His remix “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus won a Grammy this year for best pop duo / best group performance.
