The Tennessee Titans have told linebacker Vic Beasley that they will release him in the coming days.
This is what the NFL team announced in a statement on Tuesday.
The Titans hired the 28-year-old last offseason. They had given him a one-year contract worth $ 9.5 million.
Beasley’s debut with the Nashville team hadn’t been great. He showed up several days late for training camp and was fined $ 500,000.
He then experienced several difficulties in the field. In five games, he has amassed just three tackles and forced a fumble.
Prior to joining the Tennessee club, Beasley spent five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. He was also invited to the Pro Bowl during the 2016 campaign.
The Titans, who have lost their last two encounters, will try to return to victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
